Uruguayan, Cambodian ambassadors submit credentials to Salehi

TEHRAN, May 21 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi received credentials of the new Uruguayan and Cambodian ambassadors to Tehran on Saturday.
In his meeting with new Uruguayan ambassador, Salehi expressed satisfaction at Iran’s relations with Latin American countries.
He also called for the utilization of the current potential to further expand relations between Tehran and Montevideo in all areas.
He said the two countries should cooperate in political, economic and cultural areas according to memorandums of understanding singed between them.
The new Uruguayan ambassador said he will make efforts to enhance cooperation between the two countries, which could serve the interests of the two countries.
Salehi, in his meeting with new Cambodian ambassador to Iran, also said Tehran is ready to share its experiences with Phnom Penh in different areas, including roads and dams constructions as well as energy.
He also expressed hope relations between the two countries will increase in various spheres, including scientific, economic and parliamentary cooperation.
The Cambodian ambassador, for her part, delivered a message of friendship of her country’s foreign minister, calling for the expansion of relations between Iran and Cambodia.
She also said Cambodia will support Iran’s measures and stances pertaining human right issues.
